How to make a Spotify Canvas from your cover art

A Spotify Canvas is the short silent loop that plays behind your song in the Spotify app. It has to be 3 to 8 seconds long, vertical (9:16), at least 720 pixels tall and without sound. Living Cover turns your cover art, any picture or a clip of your music video into a seamless 7.5-second 1080x1920 loop that meets those rules, for $3. You upload it yourself in Spotify for Artists.

Make my Living Cover · $3 per file

Step by step

  1. Open Living Cover and upload your cover art, any picture you own, or a clip of your music video (at least 3 seconds).
  2. Pick what floats in the air (up to three at once), how much of it, and how strong the glow is. You watch it move live while you choose.
  3. Add your song if you want: the glow pulses on its beat, and you also get a version with the song inside for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
  4. Pay $3 and download the 7.5-second loop.
  5. In Spotify for Artists, open the song and add the file as its Canvas.

Questions

Can you upload it to Spotify for me?

No. Canvas is added by the artist or their team in Spotify for Artists; you download the file and add it there.

Can I use the same video on Instagram and TikTok?

Yes. Add your song and you also get a version with the song inside for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
